Pupils in Years 10 and 11 have access to completing accredited courses in the following subjects: 

• AQA Entry Level Certificate Maths (Including Year 9) 

• Pearson Functional Skills in English Entry Level to Level 2

• Pearson Functional Skills in ICT Entry Level to Level 2

• AQA Entry Level Certificate in Science – Single and Double Award 

• Asdan Horticulture 

• AQA unit certification in ICT 

• AQA unit certification in Maths  

• AQA unit certification in English 

• AQA unit certification in Art 

• All pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11 complete ASDAN Life Skills challenges in preparation for adulthood.  

• Pearsons Level 1/2 Functional Maths  

• AQA unit certification in Food technology 

  

Pupils also study a scheme of work in PSHCE, P.E., Careers Education Information and guidance and RSE.   

We have strong links with other local special schools and colleges. Year 10 pupils attend Dearne Valley College to complete a Flexible Learning Tasters course which gives them a great insight into college life and an opportunity to try out new subject areas.
